Liver Diet |
||||
| You
will definitely see a big difference |
||||
| When you try this diet | ||||
| The liver diet is essentially a very bland diet to aid recovery and | ||||
| detoxification of the liver. | ||||
| The main points to remember are that | ||||
| These things are very harmful to the liver. | ||||
| FATS | ||||
| STIMULANTS | ||||
| NOTHING HOT OR HEATING TO THE BODY!!!! | ||||
| These foods and drinks listed below are very harmful to the liver. | ||||
| The liver can be put under strain digesting fats, so the less fat | ||||
| we eat the better the liver can recover.These foods are in the | ||||
| No Go area. | ||||
| Alcohol | ||||
| Fried fatty or oily foods | ||||
| Heavy meats such as beef, pork and other red meats | ||||
| Butter, cream/ice cream and also chocolate | ||||
| Processed white bread | ||||
| Milk | ||||
| (have rice milk on rice crispies for breakfast) | ||||
| Cheese | ||||
| To much salt | ||||
| Marge | ||||
| Fried food, chips, bacon, burgers, sausages, etc | ||||
| Nothing fried | ||||
| Acidic foods are out too | ||||
| Such as, oranges, lemon, vinegary, foods such as | ||||
| pickles etc | ||||
| Stimulants are a definite no!, no coffee, tea | ||||
| Coca-cola, caffeine drinks. No chocolate! | ||||
| So this is what you can eat | ||||
| Boiled rice, or boiled potatoes to fill you and plain boiled | ||||
| vegetables. So the diet is largely a vegetarian diet | ||||
| A typical meal would be a small amount of chicken, white . | ||||
| rice,with any amount of boiled vegitables, not too heavily spiced | ||||
| Contrary to popular opinions on sugar,sugar is very, good for | ||||
| the liver and you can have as much sugar as you like. | ||||
| Sugar is the food of the liver. Eat sweet foods, grapes, | ||||
| pears have plenty of water with added sugar. Sugar is harmful to | ||||
| the teeth, so just remember to brush the teeth more frequently. | ||||
| Eat your food at room temperature, | ||||
| No hot food or drinks, we are trying to cool the body down! | ||||
| If you need to snack. | ||||
| If you need to snack then try eating rice cakes or snacker jacks, | ||||
| eat them with honey, honey is also good for the liver, so too is | ||||
| ginger. | ||||
| Only two more things to add and you will feel WONDERFUL!!! | ||||
| We are essentially saying that the liver is the seat of your attention and concentration so by cooling the liver and detoxifying the liver we can rid ourselves or reduce some of the symptoms and illnesses we suffer from.We are suggesting here that one of the main contributory causes of these complaints, such as Asthma, Eczema, Psoriasis, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorders, comes from having a hot liver. | ||||
| 1st thing | ||||
| So every morning,
have a 'foot soak'put an handful
of salt in the bottom of a bowl of cold water
preferably cold water. The more 'hecktick' you feel the colder the water should be. If you are a person that simply cannot stop thinking then use 'ice cold water'. Place the
feet in the bowl of water and leave
there for 10 to 15 minutes. This is very
very calming and should be done just before
going to sleep in the night. So..twice a day, in the morning and before sleep. |
||||
| 2nd thing | ||||
| Whilst you have your feet in the water then meditate. Use the picture of Shri Mataji. A person who is saintly gives out healing properties so sit as shown in the diagram with your hand face up on the lap and take in her healing aura. | ||||
