Collective reflections
We all feel that the last year has been rather extraordinary with so many changes and developments on a national, global, local and personal level and that the year to come promises to be equally amazing. We though it would be enjoyable to pause for a moment and reflect on what has been achieved in our area this year and to consider the possibilities ahead of us in 2007.

Public Programmes.
Birmingham
Birmingham public meetings were held on Thursdays at the Apollo Hotel., Hagley Rd.
Time 7.30 pm until 9.00. The meeting is in its 4th year and still going strong with lots of new people coming and going and a small group of new yogis staying on. An initiative introduced last year was to invite anyone from across the region, who wanted to, to take a turn at organising and leading a meeting. The theme for 2007 is to look at a different chakra each week. more.

Coventry
Coventry meeting is held on Monday evening at the Friends Meeting House, Hill St. Coventry .
Time. 7.30 pm to 9.00 pm
The meeting was attended by many new people who had had a sampler session at the Coventry library or some other event. We too would like to take the Birmingham lead on this and have many more people from the collective leading the meetings. more.

Warwick University public programme.
Philipp and Ester ran a very successful season of meetings at the Warwick University . These meetings were intended for the students with many getting their self realization. more.

Wolverhampton .
Tettenhall library Mondays 7.30 pm. A really enjoyable small meeting run by Clive and Philippa. It was very friendly and personal and we got to know the regulars very well. A group of 6 or 7 people attended most of the meetings. more.

Collective events.
There are regular go deeper meetings in Coventry most Friday nights from 8.00 pm. to 10.00 pm.
Fairly regular Pujas were held at Brendan and Evi's, Pete and Maggie's, Clive and Katherine's, Flavia's, Tim and Carol and Tom and Nicola's.
Tom and Nicola also introduced us to the ‘pot luck supper' at their Saturday afternoon Bhajan sessions, which is now an established tradition in the West Midlands collective.
Attached is a list of all the collective self realization events we took part in where some 1500 people were introduced to Sahaja Yoga. more.

Diwali Puja.
The West Midlands collective was very privileged to be invited to host Diwali Puja. The whole collective really worked together to make the preparations and the organisation of the Puja a really enjoyable experience. We were delighted to receive many emails from the wider collective saying how much everyone had enjoyed the day. more.

West Midlands committee .
The committee held regular meetings and it was felt that the main aim of the committee should be to encourage all members of the collective to feel part of the Sahaj family. We felt that simply being together and enjoying Sahaj yoga together is the best way to realise this. In this coming year if anyone feels that they would like to organise a collective activity such as:- new public programme, Puja, Havan, picnic, meal out, cinema, etc. please feel free to use the new email system for any announcements. The address is:-
west-midlands@beta.syuk.org
if you are not on the list contact Tom Locke on 07886266373.
If anyone has an issue they would like the committee to deal with please contact us.
Clive , Frances , Philippa or Tom L.

Bhajan group.

We had a great time preparing for and performing at the Adi Shakti Puja in June and hopefully we'll continue this year and would like to invite everyone to join us. (See Clive, Tom L. or Philippa for details.)
